Your dermatologist assesses your Fitzpatrick skin type, hair colour, and thickness to select the correct laser wavelength and fluence settings. Dark or tanned skin requires the 1064nm Nd:YAG — we adjust, not skip.
Shave the treatment area 12–24 hours before your session (do not wax or thread — the root must be intact). Arrive with clean, product-free skin. Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks prior.
On your first visit, a small test patch is done to confirm your skin response and calibrate the energy settings. Results are checked at 24 hours before proceeding with the full area.
Cooling gel is applied to the treatment zone. The Soprano Ice handpiece glides across the skin delivering rapid pulses — the in-motion technique means no single spot gets too hot. Most describe the sensation as a warm massage.
A soothing aloe gel is applied, followed by broad-spectrum SPF 50. Treated hair will shed over 1–3 weeks. You can return to normal activity immediately.
